Asylum

A successful asylum case demonstrates that an applicant experienced persecution or fears persecution because of their race, religion, national origin, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group. It is important to apply for asylum within the first year in the United States if at all possible. Kivu Law represents asylum seekers in affirmative cases and also asylum seekers in removal proceedings before the Immigration Judge. Kivu Law also assists asylum seekers in their initial applications and renewal applications for employment authorization. If you fear returning to your country, call Kivu Law to schedule an initial consultation to discuss whether asylum is a good fit for you.
