Makayla Javers is a summer intern at Kivu Immigration Law PLLC. Makayla was born and raised in Fairmont, Minnesota and attends Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, where she majors in Spanish, Political Science, and Latin American, Latinx and Caribbean studies. Makayla will graduate this fall and plans to attend law school in a couple of years to become an immigration attorney. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and is learning Maya K’iche’. Outside of work and school, Makayla enjoys reading, working out at the gym, and traveling.
